- What I need to ask you is, well, what we want you to do is, to put it simply,
go find Elenor's sister.

- Yes, please find my sister! She was kidnapped by some strangers.

- What kind of awful people would stoop to kidnapping? Her name is Ult. Heh. I will
give you more details later. For now, we want you, [NAME], to go underground with us.

According to the agreement reached by the military and the hunters...

- !!! Hey, you! You aren't thinking about going down to Ragol, are you? Hey! It's you!

Sakon
- Ha ha ha! Don't try to fool me! Do you know what we have to go through because
of you? Oh, well. Right now, underneath Ragol, the Galactic Mobile Infantry 32nd Squadron,
WORKS, has an import operation underway. That's why most of the areas on Ragol have been
restricted! There're rumors that some people aren't obeying our edict, but...
[Sakon takes a step toward Montague and glares at him]

whatever it takes! But, I just don't know where to begin. I know I can't do this all by
myself. ... Umm... Can you wait here?
[Elenor turns her back to you, then faces you again] ...

As we suspected, there's something very wrong going on. WORKS is a special forces unit
within the military. They're sneaky. They often have ulterior motives, so we should go

[You, Montague, and Elenor transport down to MINE 2. Montague is armed with a C-Bringer's Rifle while
Elenor has a Level 2 (blue photon) Rifle.]
[After you defeat a horde of machines in the first room after the transport...]

- There's a computer. It seems to be a transmission terminal for WORKS.
[If you speak with the guard...]

- Hey you! What are you doing there? This area is restricted to the Galactic
Mobile Infantry, 32nd Squadron, WORKS. Notification has been sent out to all hunters.
What? You still want to go beyond this point? Go elsewhere for you monsters or
treasure! This is no place for that. You still want to proceed?
[You can now choose "OK, I'll go home." or "Yes! I want to!"]
[If you choose "OK, I'll go home."...]

- All right, so you understand? Now go.
[If you choose "Yes! I want to!", Montague leaves the party and...]

see... If that's the case, then some kind of transport would be needed. You follow? Even if there

[Ult begins to walk away from you. You must follow her without
getting too far away]

- You lost Ult... Mission failed!
[You are then placed back where the mission started. Montague and Elenor are there.]

- Have you found Ult yet?

- Doctor... I still can't sense Ult yet...

WMC. Incoming transmission from WORKS District 07 Emergency Program
activated. All staff evacuate occupied District area. Relocate to
a designated shelter. I repeat... This is an emergency!

- Mission! Stop the Emergency Program! Go to the Ruins Computer!
[An alarm begins to sound and a 20 minute timer appears onscreen]
[Run to the next room. If you have completed "Doc's Secret Plan" offline, and have gotten the
Mag that Elenor gave you to evolve twice already, and have told Sue your name in "Dr. Osto's
Research", and followed the Sue-Bernie subplot through "Unsealed Door", "Waterfall Tears", and
"Black Paper", the scene cuts to Montague, Elenor, and Sue in the next room.]
Sue
- Long time no see, Doc! Since our home world?
Montague
- Yeah, I heard that you were here. I thought you got out of this business.
Sue
- Well, I've got my reasons. ... You're getting involved quite a bit yourself,
Dr. Montague. It seems like you're still under surveillance, too. I found your
name in Dr. Osto's research from Pioneer 1. I believe it was the military's M
plan... He's not only got his hands in the government but other places, too.
Montague
- Dr. Osto was a great scientist. It's too bad we lost such a good man! But he
had a tendency to get too caught up in his research. And when he was like that,
he often made very poor decisions.
Sue
- You too, have that same tendency. Always focusing too much on the research.
Maybe I can help you put an end to your habit. Good bye, Doctor!

- An attack is imminent. Should we fight back?

We found Ult, but... she got away again. Something really bothers me.
Ult's an older model, but just like Elenor, she's completely autonomous.
She shouldn't become that unstable even if someone tried to control her.
Hmm. It just doesn't make sense... Wait... And, it happened to
Elenor... (Ult did react to the abnormal Photons...) (And she
somehow vanished, just like magic...) (It can't be...)

- Good job, Elenor. Hmm... What's that? I have a bad feeling
about this area. Elenor, can you collect the data for this area?

anything unusual. Wow! The Photon density in the air is...

[Earthquake, photon energy appears in the air]
Montague
- !!! Hmm. I guess we don't have much time. I wanted to
collect more data, but... I think we better get out of here. ...

Program. [NAME], can you find the computer? If I can get hold of it,
I should be able to stop the explosion. Heh he he... Their feeble
attempt to protect themselves from my intellect is a joke. They
couldn't outwit me if they put all their brains together. Heh.
[If you fail to find the computer before the 20 minute timer runs out...
there is an earthquake followed by a fiery explosion that engulfs the
Ruins in flame. The quest ends.]
[As you explore Ruins, you are attacked by monsters. Eventually, you
will come to the square room with a raised platform in the center.
Montague notices something on top of the platform...]

- Wait, [NAME]! Sorry, but something's been bothering me. Hmm.
[Montague walks toward the platform]
What's that? There's a really strange looking computer over there. Hmm...
This one is different from the one in the tunnel. This is from Pioneer 2's military.
I can't believe them. They might as well just put up a sign saying, "Terminal Computer,
HERE!" Heh heh.
[There are two large boulders blocking your way to the west. You attack
them each six times to destroy them, then go through the western door.
You find yourself in a room with two fences blocking the way. There is
also a computer here]

- This area is currently restricted. If you wish to enter...
[Computer shows another area of the Ruins]
... unlock the gate lock at Block A20K.
[You all go back to the square room, then go through the eastern door to
arrive at Block A20K. This room contains a timer switch. After you
defeat all of the enemies, you use the timer to temporarily shut down
the fences that block your way. Past the fences are a warp which leads
to the top of the raised platform, and the main computer]
[The main computer has two terminals. Montague and Elenor each walk up
to one of the terminals]
Montague
- Let's see what this thing is all about. Hmm... Aha... ... ...
Ha ha ha. How's this? I guess they didn't add my intellect into
their calculations. Heh heh heh.
Narrator
- Emergency Program has been cancelled. Stop the Emergency
Program! Mission Accomplished!
Montague
- ... ... Hmm. There's another program hidden here. Looks like
we're going to find something interesting, too. ... ... ... ... ...
... Aha! I see now. That's why it was Ult. So it means that this
order wasn't given by Leo. But it must have come from someone with
special plans for Elenor. There's no way they could have pulled it off
with this kind of setup. But... if the program is still running around,

[The scene cuts to another part of Ruins 3. Sakon is leading Ult somewhere]

must have figured out that they've been duped, by now! We better hurry.
[Photon energy appears in the air]

- Uh... My body. My body is heating up. I can't take this! Let

[Ult begins to radiate with white light]
Sakon
- !! No! She's going out of control! This wasn't predicted in
the simulation! How much power does this thing have?
[Sakon steps toward Ult]
OK, good girl. Calm down, Ult!

[Huge amounts of photon energy appear in the air and flow into Ult's body.
A fiery explosion fills the room. The scene then cuts back to you,
Montague, and Elenor.]

- Hmm. An explosion? We're getting close, very close! No... Not Ult!?
[Elenor looks off the edge of the platform]

- !!! No! Ult!
[Ult teleports into the room, walks through it, and goes out the door.]

- Ult! Please wait!
Montague
- No! Ult! Don't go any further! Ult! ... OK, we've got to hurry!
We must find Ult. We're not going to let WORKS get away with this.
[If you look at the computers again...]
Narrator
- It seems like the runes are being researched. It looks like the research has been temporarily suspended.
[Run to the southern part of the square shaped room. There are three doors to go through.]

Montague
- Hmm. Let's split up and try to find her. Elenor, can you start with the hallway over there? I'm
going to start looking here.
[The party splits up.]
Narrator

[Ult teleports to a room that has a chasm in it, which divides it into two rooms.]

[Montague and Elenor run into the chasm room from opposite sides, so the three of you together "capture" Ult.]

[You, Montague, and Elenor now stand facing towards Ult, who has her back to the chasm.]
[The music changes from the typical Ruins music to a piano version of the first half of "Can Still See The
Light", the PSO Ending Theme.]

[Ult opens a telepipe to Pioneer 2, then she teleports herself over to the other side of the chasm.]

[Montague walks to the pipe but sees you and Elenor do not move.]

[Photons flood into Ult. There is a huge fiery explosion that engulfs several of the rooms.
The screen goes dark.]
